What Orablo is
Orablo publishes a daily edition of English pronunciation collections. Two collections each day are free. The rest can be unlocked by buying that day's edition, or by subscribing.
What you get when you pay
Buying an edition unlocks that day's collections for good — they stay yours whether or not you ever pay again. A subscription unlocks every edition, past and future, for as long as it is active. When a subscription ends you keep the editions you bought outright, plus the free collections.
Who you are actually buying from
Payments are handled by a merchant of record — a company that acts as the seller for the transaction, collects any sales tax or VAT owed where you live, and pays it to your government. Your card statement will show their name, not ours.
This means the price you see includes whatever tax applies to you, and that questions about a charge can go to either of us.
Refunds
An edition unlocks the moment you buy it, so we do not offer refunds for having changed your mind. Subscriptions are not refunded for time already run — cancel and you keep access until the period you paid for ends.
That said, our payment provider is the seller of record and can issue a refund at its own discretion, typically within 60 days, whatever we would have decided. We are not going to pretend otherwise.
Where the law where you live gives you a right to cancel that we cannot contract out of, that right stands regardless of the above. And if something is genuinely broken on our side, write to us — this clause is about buyer's remorse, not about us failing to deliver.
Accounts
You can use the free collections without an account. An account exists so your streak follows you across devices, and so anything you buy stays attached to you.
Availability
Pronunciation checking depends on speech recognition in your browser, which is not available everywhere — Firefox does not implement it. The rest of Orablo works regardless. We publish an edition every day but do not promise the service will never be interrupted.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that affects what you have already paid for, we will say so before the change applies.
