What Orablo is

Orablo publishes pronunciation collections in six languages: ten words every day and five situations every week. The day's words and two situations each week are free. A monthly subscription unlocks the rest. There is nothing else to buy.

What you get when you pay

A subscription unlocks every week, past and future, in every language, for as long as it is active. When it ends, the free collections remain available.

Who you are buying from

Payments are handled by a merchant of record: a company that acts as the seller for the transaction, collects any sales tax or VAT owed where you live, and pays it to your government. Your card statement will show their name, not ours.

So the price you see includes whatever tax applies to you, and questions about a charge can go to either of us.

Refunds

Subscriptions are not refunded for time already run. Cancel and you keep access until the period you paid for ends.

Cancelling, invoices and card changes all happen in the payment provider's customer portal, which is linked from your account.

Our payment provider is the seller of record and can issue a refund at its own discretion, typically within 60 days, whatever we would have decided.

Where the law where you live gives you a right to cancel that we cannot contract out of, that right stands regardless of the above. And if something is genuinely broken on our side, write to us.

Accounts

You can use the free collections without an account. An account exists so your streak follows you across devices and so your subscription can be managed securely.

Availability

Pronunciation checking depends on speech recognition in your browser, which is not available everywhere. Firefox does not implement it. The rest of Orablo works regardless. We publish an edition every day but do not promise the service will never be interrupted.

If these terms change in a way that affects what you have already paid for, we will say so before the change applies.
